PERFORMANCE TIP
Great putters release the putterhead with their shoulders.  My shoulders have rocked forward and the shaft of the putter points back at my navel.   That is exactly what your finish should look like.  Notice as well how my eyes are looking down where the ball was, and not up early following the roll.  Many people miss short putts because they look up too quickly and as a result the putter blade is open at impact.

Tailored Approach

I do not subscribe to one “method” of teaching nor do I “over-teach” my students. It is my belief that each student possesses a unique range of skills, goals and physical abilities. My plan for swing change and game improvement emphasizes what each person does naturally. I always strive to get to the actual root of each student’s swing problems and I consider the “fundamentals” of golf crucial in learning the game as a beginner and maintaining consistent performance as a more accomplished player.

Insider View

After spending an extensive amount of time with world class players both on the range and at PGA tour events, I have gained a unique insider view of Tour life and the preparation and techniques the best players in the world use to compete in tournament golf. Playing a lot of golf with noted PGA tour winners Skip Kendall, Peter Lonard and Bart Bryant while teaching in Orlando was so beneficial for me as an instructor. The knowledge I gained I have integrated into my teaching and it helps all of my students, especially those who play competitively.

Emphasis on Fitness

I place a huge emphasis on the role fitness plays in golf and I am convinced that to maximize performance on the golf course a student MUST get the most out of his/her body. Being TPI certified allows me to accurately assess a student’s range of motion and stability in the body as it pertains to maximizing shoulder turn, hip rotation, and speed through the ball.  I then design and implement golf specific exercises designed to target any deficient areas. In addition, my association with Dr. Josh Renkens (www.theRenkensCenter.com) will enable my clients to take advantage of advanced personal training, MAT or ART therapies and Chiropractic care if need be.  His expertise in those areas allows him to maximize joint mobility and muscle function in the body…absolutely crucial ingredients to playing your best golf.

On Course Performance

Most golfers who practice and work on their game want to see lower scores on the course. Long term instruction with me is comprehensive and centers on the mental aspects of preparation, visualization, confidence, trust and routines: crucial elements that allow golfers to achieve peak performance on the course. My students who have made the most strides in their game and lowered their handicap the furthest have been with me for years. We have gradually and permanently improved their golf swings, mental approach and, ultimately, their scores. See testimonials…
