PERFORMANCE TIP
Keeping the lower body quiet early in the backswing is the best way to build resistance in the swing. This enables you to then fully turn your shoulders but minimize your hip turn.  Doing so creates your most powerful coil.
"I want to be more consistent!"

This is the number one request of my students, hands down. Being a consistent “ball striker” means having good kinematics. This simply means the efficiency and order at which speed and power is generated in the body and then transferred to the golf ball during the swing. If your body doesn’t move correctly, you will release the club into impact inconsistently and golf will be a struggle for you. Tour pros don’t have this problem, but most amateurs do.

Good kinematics = consistency and power!

For example, many golfers come “over the top” because they have poor ankle and/or hip mobility and can’t lead with the lower body. Therefore they cast the club, scoop at impact, and consequently never make consistent contact because their body can’t move or sequence correctly. Good kinematics is the most fundamental element of consistent performance.

TPI screenings identify weak links in the functional movement patterns of golfers that directly affect a player’s kinematics. Deficiencies in hip, shoulder, ankle mobility, etc... result in swing flaws, chronic inconsistency and even worse, injury. Individual workouts can be designed to address these limitations, enhance all swing changes and improve overall flexibility, mobility, stability and balance. This is a true "golf specific" workout program.

Ultimately, it’s about playing your very best on the course, and that involves more than just consistent ball striking. Playing lessons, short game work, mental strategies and good practice techniques are all fundamental components of the instruction programs at Golf in the Now.
